SAM-AI ("we", "our", or "us") is a Telugu village voice assistant app built by SAM-AI Technologies.
We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information.

1. Information We Collect
Account Information
- Phone number (used for OTP-based login)
- Google or Apple account information (if you sign in via OAuth)
- Display name (if you choose to provide one)
Voice Data
- Voice recordings sent through the app for processing
- Voice recordings are NOT stored permanently; they are immediately processed and then deleted
Location Data
- Approximate location (used to provide local weather forecasts and market prices)
- Location is only accessed when you use weather or market features
Contacts
- Contact phone numbers (used only to find other SAM-AI users in your contacts)
- Contact data is checked locally and not uploaded to our servers
Usage Data
- App interaction data (features used, session duration)
- Device type and operating system version
2. How We Use Your Information
- Answer your voice questions in Telugu using AI
- Show local weather forecasts relevant to your area
- Provide market prices for agricultural produce
- Help you find friends and family who also use SAM-AI
- Keep your account secure through OTP or OAuth authentication
- Improve the app experience and fix issues
3. Third-Party Services
SAM-AI uses the following third-party services to operate:
- Supabase — Authentication and database (stores your account data securely)
- Sarvam AI — Telugu speech-to-text and text-to-speech processing
- ElevenLabs — Voice synthesis for natural-sounding responses
- OpenWeatherMap — Weather data for your location
- Google / Apple — OAuth sign-in (if you choose this login method)
- Google Gemini / Anthropic Claude — AI processing for answering your questions
Each of these services has their own privacy policy. We encourage you to review them. We only share the minimum data needed for each service to function.
4. Data Security
- Voice recordings are deleted immediately after processing — we do not store audio files
- All API keys are stored securely on the server side and never exposed to the app
- Passwords and authentication tokens are encrypted
- We use HTTPS for all data transmission
- We never sell, rent, or trade your personal data to third parties
5. Your Rights
- Access your data — Request a copy of the data we hold about you
- Delete your account — Request complete deletion of your account and associated data
- Revoke permissions — Disable location, microphone, or contacts access at any time from your device settings
- Sign out — Sign out of the app at any time from the settings screen

6. Children's Privacy
SAM-AI is not intended for use by children under the age of 13.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal data,
please contact us so we can delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page
with an updated "Last updated" date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.

4. డేటా భద్రత
- వాయిస్ రికార్డింగ్లు ప్రాసెసింగ్ తర్వాత వెంటనే తొలగించబడతాయి — మేము ఆడియో ఫైల్లను నిల్వ చేయము
- అన్ని API కీలు సర్వర్ వైపు సురక్షితంగా నిల్వ చేయబడతాయి మరియు యాప్కు ఎప్పుడూ బహిర్గతం చేయబడవు
- పాస్వర్డ్లు మరియు ప్రమాణీకరణ టోకెన్లు ఎన్క్రిప్ట్ చేయబడతాయి

6. పిల్లల గోప్యత
SAM-AI 13 సంవత్సరాల కంటే తక్కువ వయస్సు ఉన్న పిల్లల ఉపయోగం కోసం ఉద్దేశించబడలేదు.
13 సంవత్సరాల కంటే తక్కువ వయస్సు ఉన్న పిల్లల నుండి మేము తెలిసి వ్యక్తిగత సమాచారాన్ని సేకరించము.
